Can you trade for me or move money in my account?⌄
No. When you connect a brokerage via Plaid, we get read-only access to your positions. We can't initiate trades, withdraw funds, or transfer money. Your trades stay 100% at your broker.
Do you see my brokerage password?⌄
Never. Plaid (a SOC2-compliant fintech infrastructure provider) handles authentication directly with your bank. They hand us a read-only access token, which we encrypt at rest with AES + HMAC. We never see your username, password, or 2FA codes.
